Pictures speak better than words. Here’s what you have to look forward to in Vista.

Manual Wins

Tuesday, May 30th, 2006

In my previous post regarding whether or not I should take the dive and buy a manual. I asked, although got no responses, if I should switch to a manual. Well I decided to take the plunge. I’m looking to sell my auto cooper S so if you know anyone in the market, send them my way. I’ve also decided to hold off until the 2007 model is shipping considering how major of a change it is — the new engine is now a Turbo instead of a Supercharger.

Saw this one around the web. It’s a nice excerpt from a Christian coloring book. Aren’t religions fun?

Smack my bitch up!

Wednesday, May 24th, 2006

Cool smackbook video on youtube showing of the MacBook’s sudden motion sensor support being used for things the hardware design wasn’t intended. I’ve often thought of some nice integration with mouse gestures and the touch pad that would make my life a lot easier. Go give it a peek. Unfortunately there’s no download yet, so it might be fake.

Auto vs Manual

Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Well after going to the big MINI day, I’ve come to the unfortunate conclusion that I should have gotten a manual instead :( So now I’m stuck with either trading in my auto for a new manual (which isn’t so bad since my car is only 3 months old) or sticking with a car I’m (slightly) unhappy with for another few years and getting a newer model or different car altogether. What do you folks think?

Re-inventing the twheel?

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

Okay so I’m not known as much of a car person, but since I got my awesome cooper I’ve become a bit more enfatuated with them :). Apparently Michelin has created a new wheel technology called the “Tweel”, anyhow it looks pretty awesome. Now if it were cheap and meant the end of flat tires, that would rock.

Apple’s 5th ave. Store

Friday, May 19th, 2006

Woah! If you haven’t seen a pic of apple’s new store front check it out. Normally I don’t really care so much, but this has to be one of the more unique architecture ideas for a store that I’ve ever seen. Apparently (since this isn’t much of a store) the whole store is actually underground. neat idea.

Jon, Jeff and I went on a road trip across California and parts of the west (Neveda, and a bit of Arizona) this weekend. I posted a crap load of pictures on flickr.
